Description
White Oak is an elegant hardwood that lends a rich, refined appearance to any room. Robinson’s Prime quality is virtually clear of defects except occasional small pin knots. Although called a white oak, it is very unusual to find an individual specimen with white bark; the usual color is a light gray. In the forest it can reach a magnificent height and in the open it develops into a massive broad-topped tree with large branches striking out at wide angles.
Robinson’s Prime quality White Oak ranges from golden to dark brown with light tan and pinkish overtones. The color is consistent and harmonious, with limited sapwood. Robinson’s Prime quality is virtually clear of defects except occasional small pin knots.
